ProfileJonk Archives
Welcome to the Jonk Archives. A budding collection of like 2 articles and some links to things I like on the internet.
Bookmarks
Links to websites or specific articles I love. These are all indie web pages or creators in some way - which is largely what I love about the internet.
  • So you wanna de-bog yourself by Adam Mastroianni. I've long used the terminology of being 'in a rut' to describe occasional periods of a few days to a few weeks where I found myself out of routine and struggling to get excited about life. I find as I get older the frequency and duration of ruts has decreased, and I found the language in this article super helpful for naming different variations & expiditing the process of moving forward. Adam's substack has heaps of other great posts.
  • Where have all the websites gone by Jason Velazquez. This article is the inspiration for this bookmarks section, and makes the argument that the internet we are nostalgic of from the 90s (although, I will say, I was a kid during this time) still exists. He argues that it's curation that is less common now, and we can bring this back as simply as putting a linktree of our favourite articles/sites in our instagram profile.
  • No Boilerplate (Youtube Channel) by Tris. My current favourite technical youtube channel, mostly covering Rust & Obsidian. This was my initial instroduction to Obsidian & while I've learnt from multiple sources now, much of the philosophy I've picked up comes from this channel.
